Dubai hopes for racing star in cloned camel

The world's first cloning of a camel took place in a laboratory at the Camel Reproduction Centre in the United Arab Emirates.

Scientists there now hope their second successful cloned camel, created from a skin cell of an elite racing camel owned by Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, will change the face of one of the oldest sports in the Arabian Peninsula.

Dan Nolan reports from Dubai. (3 July 2010)
